KATHMANDU, July 17 (Xinhua) -- A joint Nepal-France search teamhas recovered the bodies of the four French climbers said to go missing on Mt. Paldor nine months ago, local leading media group's website THT Online reported Tuesday.

A search team led by Jean Coudray, principal of ENSA (ecole Nationale de Sky et Alpinisme) -- a mountaineering academy in France -- consisting of seven Nepali mountaineering trainers started the search a week ago.

A member of the rescue team Pemba Gelje Sherpa said, the first two bodies were found at an altitude of 4, 900 meter at Sanjung glacier near the Ganesh Himal. "We cremated them at the same place." he said.

Ang Tsering Sherpa, president of the Nepali Mountaineering Association said Tuesday all the four climbers' remains have been found and explained, "Melting snow revealed their remains at the bottom of the Ganesh Himal VII mountain."

The four French experienced climbers obtained a permit to climbMt. Paldor, with elevation of 5,896 meters, some 60 km north of capital Kathmandu in Rasuwa district, in Nepal last year. However, they made an unauthorised attempt on the 6,350 meter Ganesh Himal VII, instead.

Himal is Nepalese for "snow-covered mountain" and is used to name the various mountains of the Himalayas.

Former report says, on the request of the families of the deceased climbers, Nepal Mountaineering Instructor's Association (NMIA) and France's Polyvilla Foundation had attempted the search.

The four climbers, Jean-Baptiste Moreau, Raphael Perrissin, Vincent Villedieu and Stefan Cieslar went missing nine months ago and were once suspected to have died in an avalanche on the mountain.

Earlier, a joint team of Nepalese and French mountaineers had attempted a search operation without any success.
